This has been implemented in cooperation with the following humanitarian organizations in Malaysia: MFS, GPM, MVM, Cinta Syria Malaysia (CSM), MyFund Action, Rizq Ar Rahman dan NGO Haluan The three containers contain large quantities of supplies needed by Syrian refugees, such as food, clothes, baby milk, diapers for children and the elderly, in addition to sterilizers and face masks to counter the Coronavirus. Mr. Luqman Al-Hakim (Head of Pertubuhan Peduli Insan Malaysia (Peduli Insan)) said: “We launched this project in cooperation with our partners as part of the Winter Campaign. Peduli Insan’s volunteers and partner organizations received donations in Peduli Insan’s warehouses and carried out the processes of collection and sorting the items and then put them in carton boxes before shipping them. They will be distributed in the camps according to our lists of people in need, with priority given to the families of the martyrs, including widows, orphans, and those in urgent need.” He added: We chose the Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon because people there are in dire need of this kind of aid, as the temperature reaches five below zero, and accumulated snow reaches about 50 cm while they have no means of heating or winter clothing to protect their children and those who are sick from the cold. It is worth noting that this project is not the only one for Pertubuhan Peduli Insan Malaysia (Peduli Insan), but rather it is part of the Winter 20-21 campaign that the organization launched a short time ago through three projects for relief, education, health care and provision of heating devices for Syrians living in camps in an attempt to alleviate their suffering and tragedy.

This is one of the charitable programs that the organization attaches great importance to since it is inspired by the principles of our Islamic religion that encourages giving charity, and because this fruit represents an important basic meal for the Muslim family. This was confirmed by the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, by saying: “A house in which there are no dates, its people will go hungry.” Nearly five tons of dates have been distributed to thousands of displaced families, especially families in which there are people with special needs and families that do not have a breadwinner, within the regions: (Azaz - Afrin - Al-Bab - Idlib countryside) as a symbolic gift for them during the month of Ramadan. The displaced people who received this aid expressed their thanks and gratitude to Malaysia, its king, government and people, stressing that this campaign adds to the great record of the humanitarian assistance that Malaysia continuously provides to the people of Syria. It is worth noting that (Dates Distribution Campaign) is not the only campaign that Pertubuhan Peduli Insan has implemented during the holy month of Ramadan, but rather it is a recent addition to (Infaq Ramadan-Syria Campaign), through which it has implemented three large projects to feed the fasting displaced Syrians throughout the days of the holy month of Ramadan.
